I installed GC on my WordPress business site. I’d installed 3 GC plugins. The message bar plugin seemed to work fine. I then was about to edit some settings for the Message Box plugin when I noticed that the message bar words were showing up under one of my widgets. The widget is an optin form which is built like a page, so it’s displayed as a page in a widget on the site. I suspect this is why sometimes other content appears below it which I have had to use CSS to hide int eh past. But the message bar plugin was displaying its text below this optin form. But because that optin form leads to teh same page that I want the GC plugins to lead to, I clicked the button on it hoping to copy the URL for the page that it goes to. BUT IT NEVER ARRIVED AT THE PAGE. Instead…
My database connection was cut off.
I checked with my host and they helped me fix it by repairing and optimizing the database. THIS WORKED ONCE! I did not know what had caused the problem at the time and so when the site was back up I again opened both plugin settings and clicked the optin button to get the URL to add to their redirect settings. THIS TIME, Repairing & Optimizing the database DID NOT RING THE SITE BACK UP.
That’s when I noticed that ALL OF MY DATABASE HAD BEEN RENAMED IN THE NAME OF GET CONVERSION. For Example:
imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_reorder_post_rel optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_sendpress_list_subscribers optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_sendpress_queue optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_sendpress_report_url optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_sendpress_subscribers optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_sendpress_subscribers_event optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_sendpress_subscribers_meta optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_sendpress_subscribers_status optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_sq_themes optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_subscribe2 optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_terms optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_term_relationships optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_term_taxonomy optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_todolists_usertask optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_toolpage optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_toolpage_box optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_toolpage_box_relazioni optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_toolpage_settings optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_videocapture optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_WPPortfolio_debuglog optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_WPPortfolio_groups optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_WPPortfolio_websites optimize status OK imuaaloh_wor6.gco_4_wpsp_ips optimize status OK
Is that a standard part of GC? To rename everything in the database? Or is the problem elsewhere?
HOW CAN I FIX THIS!? I NEED MY SITE BACK UP AND I WAS STOOPED ENOUGH NOT MAKE A DATABASE BACK UP!
Please help me get my business back online.
OK, I don’t know why, but the site is back up even with all the GCO stuff in the database. I’m going to try to figure out whats crashing it. But I would still like to know if gco labeling of database contents is related to the GC plugins?
GC plugins are using the options database (/api) only. Don’t use any other database tables…
This gco prefix issue is done by something else…
I hope it helps,
